BANGOR – Penobscot County Extension will offer a training program for master gardeners beginning Feb. 5.
The training will focus on growing food crops.
The program, which costs $65, will cover basic soils, botany and pest management. Participants will receive a reference manual and opportunities to work on a variety of volunteer projects.
The application deadline is Jan. 18. For an application packet, call the Extension office at 942-7396 or (800) 287-1485.
