LEE – High-pressure defense and solid work on the boards led the Lee Academy Pandas to their sixth consecutive win, a 66-33 verdict over Bangor Christian on Friday night.
Lee was led by Shelby Pickering, Deidra Ham, and Kristin Bird in the win. Pickering led all rebounders with 20 to compliment her 15 points. Ham added 16 points and eight steals, and Bird grabbed 10 rebounds. The Pandas recorded 28 steals during the contest.
Ashlee Page led the Patriots with 15 points while Pam Reitsma added 10 rebounds.

At Millinocket, Hannah Socoby and Sarah Beasley sealed the victory for the Shiretowners in overtime as they combined for all 10 of Houlton’s points in the extra frame.
Katie Nason connected on a lay-up with three seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 52 apiece for Stearns. Nason was one of five Stearns players in double figures, with 10 points.
Socoby netted 28 points during the contest, including 13-for-18 from the free-throw line. Beasley finished with 16 points. Kasey Cleary added eight points for Houlton, including five in an 8-0 run early in the first half to trim an 11-point deficit.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, a pair of hat tricks by Orono’s Pat Skall and Branislav Srnka paced the Red Riots as they routed the Ponies.
Srnka added three assists and Skall had two. Senior Chuck Smith scored his first career goal, while Mike Merritt scored a goal and dished out two assists. Mark Caggiano added a goal in the victory, and Will Toner contributed a goal and an assist. Anthony Hegstrom made 20 saves.
Corey Beaulieu and Brandon Johnson each scored for Foxcroft. Hunter Willbur added an assist. Dan Perkins stopped 22 shots for the Ponies.
Greg Hirsch, the winningest coach in Red Riot history, notched his 101st victory.
