Katie Nason connected on a lay-up with three seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 52 apiece for Stearns. Nason was one of five Stearns players in double figures, with 10 points.
Socoby netted 28 points during the contest, including 13-for-18 from the free-throw line. Beasley finished with 16 points. Kasey Cleary added eight points for Houlton, including five in an 8-0 run early in the first half to trim an 11-point deficit.
