Beavers battle back for victory

HODGDON – The Washburn girls began the game with a 15-5 deficit in the first quarter, but won on a basket from the low post with two seconds left in the game to pull out a 40-39 victory over Hodgdon Monday night.

Edie Campbell led the Beavers with 11 points.

Sara Quint led the Hawks with 12 points.
