Bilal Duwan-Abdullah
Bilal Duwan-Abdullah, a junior guard on the St. Joseph’s College men’s basketball team has been named the Webber Energy player of the week. Duwan-Abdullah averaged 22.6 points and seven rebounds per game in a 2-1 week.
Wayne Clarke
Wayne Clarke of the University of Maine at Machias has been named the Webber Energy rookie of the week. Clarke scored 11 points and had eight rebounds in a 92-87 win over St. Joseph’s.
Megan Woodcock
Megan Woodcock of the University of Maine at Farmington has been chosen as the Maine Athletic Conference and Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association player of the week. Woodcock, a junior guard, averaged 18 points per game including 25 points against Castleton State.
Lynn Marcotte
Lynn Marcotte, a freshman at St. Joseph’s College has been named the Maine Athletic Conference and the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rookie of the week. Marcotte averaged 12 points per game, scoring 19 against UNE.
Amanda Rodgerson
Amanda Rodgerson of the University of New England has been named the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association player of the week. Rodgerson, a senior from Hampden, averaged 20.3 points in three games as well as scoring a season high 29 points in a game at Salve Regina to pass the 1,500 point marker.
Olivia Zurek
Olivia Zurek, a forward at Bates College has been chosen as the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rookie of the week. Zurek averaged 10 points and 6.5 rebounds for the week, shooting 53 percent from the floor.
