At Caribou, Joel Griffeth sank a couple of clutch free throws with 16 seconds left to expand the lead to three and the Vikings held on, surviving a Jason Frenette basket with 10 seconds left.
Caribou avenged a 58-55 setback in Houlton on Dec. 13.
Griffeth finished with 24 points, including 13 in the second quarter to help Caribou overcome a five-point deficit. Tyler Giles notched 20 with eight of those coming in the fourth quarter.
Frenette’s game-high 25 points and James Skehan’s 14 paced Houlton.
