East-west highway

This state really needs a boost to its economy to raise tax revenues and be able to pay for the needed public and social services that people in other states enjoy as being part of America. Some people gripe in Maine, “America is sunk. There is hardly enough to help the poor in this country of ours.” When they do not know that in other states that enjoy a better economy, living in America is wonderful.

I strongly urge our U.S. senators to get the needed funds immediately to build an east-west interstate highway from Bangor, across New Hampshire and Vermont on to Buffalo, N.Y. That would bring more tourists from the western states and New York in the summer, probably millions of dollars in state revenue, and make it a lot easier for Maine products to go west.

It is time to act on this now. Any comments from truckers out there?
