SEBEC – Police are seeking information from anyone who may have observed a green Ford pickup truck with a plow Wednesday in the Sebec-Milo area.
The truck and some tools were stolen from a home at Twin Hills in Sebec between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., said Lt. Robert Young of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.
Young said someone removed a barrier on a back door that leads into the cellar of the Sebec home. There, burglars took a chain saw, drill press and tools. The burglars also took a 1985 pickup that was parked outside the home. The keys had been left inside the vehicle, according to Young.
Police believe someone may have noticed the truck because chains were on all four tires and a plow attachment was on the front of the vehicle, Young said. Tracks at the scene indicated the truck was headed in the direction of Milo.
Searches of the area by police Wednesday failed to find the vehicle, Young said.
Anyone who may have noticed the truck should call the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department at 564-3304 or (800) 432-7372.
