GUILFORD – Four different players scored in double figures as the Piscataquis Community Pirates overcame an early 19-11 deficit to take a 66-52 schoolboy basketball victory over the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx Thursday night.
The Pirates outscored Mattanawcook 35-18 through the middle periods and stayed unbeaten.
Kyle Pulkkinen led the way for the defending EM champs with 16 points. Josh Watson chipped in with 12. Keith Dawson and Dustin Carson tossed in 11 each, and Ben Smith hauled down eight rebounds.
Nathan Cousineau paced the Lynx of Lincoln with 14 points. Dan LaPlante scored 13, and Tyler Libbey added 10.
