What a dilemma for the little town of Winter Harbor. Suddenly, we have no school-age children to support a well-rounded grammar school program, a population with an age band that makes “go forth and multiply” a scratch-off game and empty housing. It is also one of the most exciting times in our community’s history.
The community must pool its resources of good citizens with all of our differences to decide the paths of the future and complexion of who we are now and who we want to be; a community strong in itself and a good neighbor. So, in truth, our dilemma becomes an opportunity and need for all of us to become voices and be involved.
