WASHBURN – Nikki Michaud scored seven of her 11 points in the third quarter as Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics took the lead for good en route to a 50-38 schoolgirl basketball victory over Washburn Tuesday night.

Amber Blakney of Washburn scored seven of her team-high 13 points during a 16-0 run in the second quarter which gave the Beavers a 20-10 lead.

The Eagles scored the next 10 for a 20-all tie at halftime.

Ashley Brooker and Traci Weatherhead each posted 13 points for Limestone, and Jessica Stackhouse also had 11.
