Jeremiah Richter

Richter, a junior forward for the Brewer High hockey team, scored a natural hat trick (three straight goals) to lead his team from a 5-2 deficit to a 7-6 overtime victory over Skowhegan.

Smalll School (Classes C-D)

Tyler Putnam

Putnam, a 6-foot-4 senior forward for the Hodgdon High basketball team, averaged 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals, and 5 blocked shots a game in leading the Hawks to wins over Katahdin, Southern Aroostook and Central Aroostook.

Big School (Classes A-B)

Candida Carvajal

Carvajal, a junior on the Bangor High swim team, won four events to help the Rams beat Foxcroft. She won the 200 IM with a time of 2 minutes, 32.40 seconds, the 100 backstroke in 1:11.34, swam the second leg on the 200 medley relay and anchored the 400 freestyle relay .

Small School (Classes C-D)

Ashley Ames

Ames, a 6-3 freshman center for the Dexter High basketball team, averaged 16.5 points and 12 rebounds a game in helping her team defeat Penobscot Valley and Penquis.
