Lovely key as Terriers top MMA

CASTINE – Erin Lovely poured in 26 points to lead Thomas College to a 71-55 women’s basketball victory over Maine Maritime Academy Thursday night.

Tonya Cray chipped in with 17 points for the Terriers of Waterville.

Jess Sawyer and Stacy Jones each scored 13 points for the Mariners.

Ryan Garland paced the winners with 19 points while Linc Bigelow and Jason St. Pierre each added 15.

Jimmy Cardaci scored 24 to lead Thomas and Will Nickerson put in 10.
