ELLSWORTH – Mark Clapp nailed seven 3-pointers en route to 26 points as George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill prevailed over Ellsworth 56-47 in boys basketball action Friday night.

Duane Ledien tallied 11 more for GSA.

Scott Bradford netted 15 points on five 3-pointers for Ellsworth, and Jake King notched 12 points.

At Harrington, Brandon Emerson dribbled the length of the court in the final six seconds of overtime and hit a layup with six-tenths of a second to play to give the Knights the victory.

Emerson finished with 20 points, including eight in overtime. Luke Shaw scored 15 points, including two 3-pointers in the final 50 seconds of regulation. His final 3-pointer was a buzzer-beater that sent the game to overtime. Darren Fraser and Steven Knapp added 11 points apiece.

Jamie Polk tallied 21 points for Sumner of East Sullivan while Dylan Johnson added 15 and Justin Winslow had 13.

Kenniston scored 12 points and made all eight of his free throws in the fourth quarter to help the Tigers pull away.

Junior forward Casey Brown, who had missed the last 10 games with an ankle injury, returned to score 11 points and pull down seven rebounds for Rockland. Wade Oliver added 12 points and Todd Curtis tallied 10.

For Belfast, Chris Duval tossed in 20 points and Colby Horne notched 11.
