Steven DeWitt

DeWitt, an Ellsworth senior, set the Penobscot Valley Conference Eastern Maine Indoor Track League record in the 800 meters, running 1 minute, 56.42 seconds Saturday during a meet. The old record of 1:57.22 was held by former Ellsworth star and current Stanford All-American Louie Luchini 1:57.22, set in 1999.

Small School (Classes C-D)

James Godley

East Grand of Danforth’s 5-10 senior shooting guard racked up 96 points, 22 rebounds, 20 steals over four Viking wins last week, and scored the 1,500th point of his career.

Girls

Big School (Classes A-B)

Katherine Miller

The 5-11 Bangor High senior forward led the Rams with 11 points in a win over defending Class A state champ Nokomis of Newport, and the next day had a team-high 14 points in a victory at Caribou.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Leann Pike

Lubec sophomore Pike, a 5-9 center, averaged 17 points and 17 rebounds in three games for the Hornets.
