PRESQUE ISLE – Husson and the University of Maine-Presque Isle put on a shooting exhibition Wednesday night, with each team connecting on 63 percent of its shots from the floor.

The Braves from Bangor defeated the Owls 100-87 in the high-scoring affair.

Robert Pilsbury led Husson with 31 points. Ryan Rivera added 17 and Randy Fletcher tallied 15. Scott Griffin added nine on 4-for-4 shooting. He is 11-for-11 from the floor in his last two games.

Vjeko Jadric and Craig Smith scored 19 apiece for the Owls. Tim Dolley added 14, and Cliff Smith and Dan Emerson scored 10 apiece.

At Waterville, Erin Lovely buried six 3-pointers on her way to 36 points as Thomas edged Maine Athletic Conference rival UMaine-Farmington.

Tonya Cray was 10 of 10 from the free throw line, totaling 22 points and grabbing nine rebounds.

Megan Woodcock sparked the Beavers with 18 points and eight rebounds.

At Presque Isle, Rachel Larlee poured in 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Owls defeated the Braves for the first time in seven years (1993-94 season).

Sam Berry notched nine points and seven rebounds in the first half before leaving the game with a knee injury. The Owls sank 15 of 16 free throws (93 percent) in the second half. Erica McGary pumped in 12 points.

Meghan Hughes sparked Husson of Bangor with 17 points. Kelly Dow added 10.
