DANFORTH – James Godley tossed in a game-high 26 points, setting the school career scoring mark as East Grand defeated Southern Aroostook 95-60 in schoolboy basketball action Monday night.

Godley now has 1,576 points. The old Vikings record was 1,567, set by Shelly Page in 1994. Godley added 10 assists.

Darius Parker scored 16 points for East Grand. Rhett Mortland contributed 15. Richard Byers had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Corey Shields poured in 20 points for the Warriors of Dyer Brook. Griffin Hardy scored 11 and Lucas Nadeau added 10.

At Old Town Saturday, the Indians outscored the Vikings 10-2 in the final two minutes to rally for the win.

Shawn Kenniston completed a four-point play with about 1:30 left. He finished with 24 points, including the 1,000th of his career, which he scored in the first quarter. Jeremy Stormann came off the bench for 11 points.

Joel Griffeth paced Caribou with 15 points. Tyler Giles added 14 and Josh Nadeau contributed 10.

Mike Merritt and Ian Ferguson tallied a goal and an assist apiece while Will Toner handed out two assists. Nate Faulstick made 29 saves.

Ben Lynch and Sam Shane scored the goals for 8-6 Presque Isle. Steve Laplante and Ben Sirois had assists and Travis Shane made 44 saves.
