CORINTH – Brad Harris grabbed an offensive rebound and hit a six-footer with four seconds left Monday night to supply Penobscot Valley of Howland with a 42-40 schoolboy basketball victory over Central High.

Matt Mulligan scored a game-high 18 points for the winners and Harris finished with 11.

Matt Libby scored 15 points for Central on five 3-pointers, all in the second half. Joey Kane had nine points.

John Motta scored twice and had an assist for John Bapst of Bangor. Taylor Lynn added a goal and two assists. Colby Therriault and Kim Meagher each had two assists, and Zach Grenier had one assist. Jamie Hardy and Dan Leighton combined to make 22 saves on 26 shots.

Nick St. Louis paced the Indians with two goals and an assist. Josh Fournier and Nick Buck each scored a goal. Meghan King contributed two assists and J.P. Stowe stopped 44 of 52 shots.
