New general manager named at TDS Telecom

HAMPDEN – Chad Young has been named general manager of sales and service for TDS Telecom, serving Hampden, Warren and the Islands. Young replaced Mari Tani in October.

Young has been with TDS Telecom since 1997.

He has worked on product management, consumer markets and emerging applications teams at TDS Telecom’s corporate office in Madison, Wis.

Tani now serves as general manager of TDS Telecom’s North Anson office.

“Chad has proven himself to be a valuable, motivated employee and we are pleased to expand his role and responsibilities within the company,” said Jim Rogler, director of TDS Telecom’s North Atlantic division.

Young will work out of the Hampden and Warren offices.

Young will split his time between the two offices. He will operate out of the Hampden office on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and the Warren office on Thursday and Friday.

Young and his wife, Mary, reside in Searsmont with their dogs, Nimbus and Yeti.

The Youngs enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing.
