AUGUSTA – A Washington County legislator was taken by ambulance Wednesday morning from the State House to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor where her condition was still being evaluated late in the day.

Rep. Martha Bagley, D-Machias, reported feeling lightheaded immediately after Wednesday morning’s legislative session. State House officials felt she should be transferred to the care of her physician as soon as possible and made arrangements for ambulance service.

Bagley is in her third term as representative for House District 133, which comprises Beals, Cutler, Jonesboro, Jonesport, Machias, Machiasport, Roque Bluffs and Whiting.
