A memorial service for former world-class distance runner Andy Palmer of Madawaska is scheduled for Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the Val Halla Golf and Recreation Center in Cumberland. Palmer collapsed and died following a training run in North Carolina last Sunday. Palmer was the founder and the director of the Maine Running Camp in Bar Harbor. He was 48.
