Robert J. “Rob” McKay II has joined Acadia Financial Consultants as an investment executive. Acadia Financial Consultants is the newly formed, full-service brokerage division of Camden National Corp. As an investment executive, McKay’s responsibilities include providing sales and customer service to Acadia Financial Consultants’ brokerage and insurance clients.

Robert J. “Rob” McKay II has joined Acadia Financial Consultants as an investment executive. Acadia Financial Consultants is the newly formed, full-service brokerage division of Camden National Corp. As an investment executive, McKay’s responsibilities include providing sales and customer service to Acadia Financial Consultants’ brokerage and insurance clients. He also is able to refer clients for products and services offered by UnitedKingfield Bank, a subsidiary of Camden National Corp. McKay will be based out of UnitedKingfield Bank’s headquarters in Bangor. Before joining AFC, McKay worked for seven years for Fleet Bank of Maine as a vice president and senior investment adviser and as a senior financial consultant. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maine.

CES Inc., a civil engineering and surveying firm with offices in Brewer, Machias, Fort Fairfield and Southwest Harbor, has promoted Jeff Teunisen to field survey manager. He will be responsible for managing the Brewer office’s survey team. Teunisen has been with CES Inc. since 1997. He formerly held the position of survey party chief.

Michael A. McAvoy of Rockport has been promoted to senior vice president and senior risk management officer, a newly created position within Camden National Corp. McAvoy’s experience in credit administration and business development will help the holding company oversee the combined $730 million loan portfolio of the corporation’s subsidiaries – Camden National Bank and UnitedKingfield Bank. He will have overall responsibility for corporate credit administration, loan review, compliance, collection and recovery. McAvoy previously served as senior vice president and senior loan officer for Camden National Bank. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Norwich University in Northfield, Vt.

Madison Paper Industries has promoted the following to new positions: Randy D. Charette to manager of pulping and technical operations, Michael R. Doiron to manager of paper operations, and Francis X. Flood to deputy to the president and CEO.

Before his promotion, Charette had been manager of pulping since 1998. He joined Madison in May 1988 as a process engineer and in 1994 was promoted to manager of the technical department. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College in Waterville. In his new position, Charette will continue to head the wood yard and pulp mill and will assume responsibilities and overall administrative duties of the technical and environmental departments.

Doiron has been manager of engineering since 1994. He joined the company in 1984 as a mechanical engineer and was promoted to mechanical maintenance supervisor in 1990 and to project engineer, capital projects and facilities in 1991. Doiron has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from the University of Maine. He will have responsibility for the entire paper mill from stock prep to finishing, focusing on quality, safety, productivity and cost control.

Flood recently was promoted to executive vice president, chief financial officer. He now also will assume the role of deputy to the president and CEO. Flood joined the company as chief financial officer in 1979. In 1981 he was promoted to director of finance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John’s University.
