EAST MILLINOCKET – Schenck forward Ryan Deschenes scored his 1,000th career point in the Wolverines’ 66-46 boys basketball victory over the Penquis Patriots in a Class C playoff game Wednesday night.

Deschenes, a 6-foot-3 junior, scored 32 points to help Schenck beat Penquis and now has 1,026 career points. He scored 273 points as a freshman, 352 as a sophomore and 401 as a junior.

Schenck plays George Stevens of Blue Hill in an Eastern Maine Class C quarterfinal Wednesday at 11:05 a.m. at the Bangor Auditorium.
