FORT KENT – As the Northern Maine Medical Center marks its 50th birthday, past and present members of the hospital’s guild are being asked to participate in an afternoon tea next month.

The tea is planned as a way for participants to reminisce and share pictures.

About 50 women met at the American Legion hall in 1952 to organize the guild, even before the hospital opened, according to Muriel Cote, guild president.

The tea will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20. For location and information, call Cote at 834-5111.
