The Downeast Arts and Heritage Network and the Downeast Resource Conservation and Development Council Vacationland Resources Committee are looking for stories, poems and vignettes about Washington County for the Washington County Cultural Resources Directory.

The directory will focus on the arts and heritage of Washington County and will feature area artists, musicians, storytellers, historians, farmers, boat builders, museums, libraries, genealogists, actors, crafters and more.

The directory also will feature original artwork, photos of area museums and cultural sites, original literary work and a brief history of the area. Pieces should be 200 words or less. Writers should submit their work no later than Feb. 28 to Barbara S. Arter, P.O. Box 141, Steuben 04680.
