CARRABASSET VALLEY – Sugarloaf/USA will be hosting the 16th annual Jimmie Heuga Snow Express on Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10. The event will have teams of three compete in a two-hour marathon to see who can ski or ride the most vertical miles on a specified trail that will be open only to participants. In order to compete, teams must first raise at least $1,000 to benefit the Jimmie Heuga Center.

Jimmie Heuga, an Olympic bronze medallist, who was later diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, founded the center as a place to teach others with MS how they could still maintain active lives.

Guests may register both on the mountain on the Saturday of the event or by calling Steve Pierce at 237-2396 or the Heuga Center at 1-888-DO-IT-4-MS.
