MOUNT DESERT – Applications are now being accepted for the 2002 award of Lee Patterson Scholarship for Classical Voice Training.

Classical voice includes opera, operetta and art song literature from 1600 to 1920.

Recipients agree to sing with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Hancock County during the term of their scholarship. Minimum applicant age is 14 years old.

Preference is given to residents of Hancock and Washington counties, but all are welcome to apply.

Application deadline is March 15.
