Health care forum today at UM at Presque Isle

PRESQUE ISLE – Problems in securing health care coverage will be discussed at a public forum at the University of Maine at Presque Isle from 10 to 11:30 a.m. today in Pullen Hall, Room 111.

This meeting, similar to the prescription drug forums held two years ago, will give the public an opportunity to tell state legislators about their experiences with health care coverage.

It will be the fourth of six forums being held across the state as part of a national campaign spearheaded by the Maine State Employees Association, an affiliate of the Service Employees International Union.

Legislators attending today’s forum will include Speaker of the House Michael Saxl, D-Portland; Senate President Pro Tem Michael Michaud, D-East Millinocket; and Rep. Stephen Stanley, D-Medway.

For information, contact Mary Anne Turowski, Carl Leinonen or John Graham at (800) 452-8794 or 622-3151.
