CALAIS – A 15-year-old Baileyville girl turned herself in to police last week in connection with a burglary at a home on Stillson Street.
The teen-ager, whom police did not identify, allegedly broke into the Stillson Street home Dec. 13, and allegedly took more than $1,000 in cash, Sgt. David Randall said Monday.
Police investigated the incident, and a warrant was issued. She finally turned herself in on March 4, the sergeant said.
Randall offered few details of the break-in, saying only that the couple who lived in the home knew the juvenile and were not home at the time of the incident. He said it was a forced-entry burglary.
The girl is expected to appear in court next month.
