WILTON – Two elderly sisters were bound with duct tape and robbed by masked intruders who stole their life savings, police said.
The sisters had lived through the Depression and kept their money at home rather than in a bank, Wilton Police Chief Jim Parker said.
The two men entered the house wearing masks and gloves Sunday; the sisters, age 88 and 90, were not hurt, Parker said Monday.
The men took thousands of dollars he said, but Parker declined to disclose exactly how much. “It was the two ladies’ life savings,” he said.
