Shelly Chessie and Kirsti Anderson of Bowdoin College have been selected as first-team All-Americans by the American Hockey Coaches Association. The Polar Bears posted a 23-5-1 record and won the New England Small College Athletic Conference championship.

Chessie, a junior from Fredericton, New Brunswick, registered a team-best 50 points with 22 goals and 28 assists. She was an All-NESCAC first-team pick and was a finalist for the AHCA Division III Player of the Year Award.

Anderson, a freshman from Glenville, N.Y., was second on the team with 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points. She anchored a defense that allowed 1.3 goals per game this season. Anderson was the NESCAC Rookie of the Year and was a first-team all-league choice.
