WISCASSET – The director of a now-closed Dresden day care center was convicted Wednesday of sexually assaulting two young girls.

A jury in Lincoln County Superior Court convicted Steven Guay, 53, of five felony sex charges. The incidents occurred in 1998 and 2000, when Guay was helping his wife, Geraldine, run Little People Day Care. The center gave up its license in December 2000.Guay is being held without bail pending sentencing.
