GULFPORT, Fla. – Craig Harvey belted his second two-run home run of the game in the 11th inning Friday, lifting Husson College of Bangor to a 6-4 baseball victory over Salem State (Mass.).
Harvey’s second two-run home run of the game came with one out in the top of the 11th inning, snapping a 4-4 tie.
Closer Kyle Matthieu, who took over for starter Josh Dubay in the ninth inning, shut out Salem State to collect the win. He allowed one hit in three innings of work. Dubay pitched eight innings, striking out three batters, and allowing four runs.
Harvey connected on a two-run shot in the second inning to put the Braves up 2-0. He finished the day going 3-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Mike Worcester stroked a solo homer and two singles for Husson.
Luke Foskett and John Pollard led Salem State (Mass.), each singling three times.

Maine sweeps doubleheader
At Osceola, Fla., the Black Bears won two games, defeating Tennessee-Martin 6-4 before beating George Mason 7-1.
Leigh Ann Hlywak and Jennifer Merchant led the way for Maine. Hlywak went 4-for-6, including a home run, with five RBIs in the two games. Merchant singled twice and knocked in six runs.
Merchant also pitched 4? innings in the win over Tennessee-Martin, allowing four runs, walking three and striking out one. She pitched the last 3? innings in the win over George Mason, striking out three, while not allowing a walk or a hit.
Angela Baiz led Tennessee-Martin with a homer, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored.
