MACHIAS – The Machias CareerCenter will hold a health care job fair this week.

The fair will feature about 20 employers from the health care industry in Washington County, said Douglas Beaulieu, executive director of the Local Area A1 Workforce Development Board for Aroostook-Washington counties.

The board and the career center are working together on the event.

The job fair will run from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the CareerCenter, 15 Prescott Drive.

“If you are unemployed or looking to change jobs and are looking for a career in health care, this is a great opportunity to meet with local area employers,” said Wendy Shoppee, CareerCenter manager for the state Labor Department in Machias.
