After reading the article (BDN, March 19) about the two female basketball players who are charged with theft and possible drug involvement, I was shocked to see that the courts, their parents and the McDonalds Corp. allow them to go on and represent their school at an all-star competition.
I don’t understand the way the system works or the way parents are today. I have a child and if he did anything like this you bet they wouldn’t have to decide if he would play or not. I would have him yanked out of it so fast he wouldn’t know what hit him. Parents have to take control.
