BANGOR – National Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ladies Auxiliary President Diana Stout of Charleston, W.Va., will make her official visit to Maine March 25-27.
She will arrive at Bangor International Airport at 4:55 p.m. Monday, March 25, and be greeted by state President Betty Gastia of Milford; Carole Harrison of Penobscot, national president’s visit chairman; and past state President Carole Harrison.
Stout will be met with an Aisle of Honor of American Flags carried by auxiliary members. A banquet is set for 7 p.m. at the post home in Old Town, hosted by Auxiliary 3381, Lana McAllister, president, Eddington.
On Tuesday, the national president will travel to Winslow for brunch at 10 a.m. at Auxiliary 8835, with Gloria Gravel, president. The group will visit Togus VA Hospital and Beals House, a facility for families visiting patients at Togus.
Tuesday evening, Stout will arrive in Ellsworth for dinner at 5 p.m., Auxiliary 109, Kimberly Baldwin of Franklin, president. Stout will leave March 27 from Bangor International Airport.
Accompanying Stout on her Maine tour are past state President Elinor Canders of Hampden, and historian and state Chaplain Jane Gaskill of Passadumkeag.
