FORT MYERS, Fla. – Ryan O’Connor slugged two home runs in the second game as Thomas College of Waterville split a college baseball doubleheader against Cardinal Stritch Thursday.
The Crusaders won the opener 10-0, then the Terriers came back to win the nightcap 7-6.
In the first game, Cam Pollnow led Cardinal Stritch with two singles.
Ryan Buttice had a double for Thomas.
In the second game, O’Connor collected four RBIs, and Scott Brawn drove in three runs with a homer and a single. Buttice chipped in with two singles.
Chad Stowell and Jeremy Dow combined on a five-hitter for the Terriers.
John Zmlicka had two singles for the Crusaders.

U-New England sweeps Regis
At Biddeford, Amber Taylor had five hits to help lead the University of New England sweep Regis 9-1 and 10-0 in a doubleheader.
In the first game, Taylor, Kalina Cuarisma, Amanda Brown, and Emily Willoughby each had two hits for the Nor’easters.
Danielle Greely had a hit that plated Regis’ only run.
In the second game, Brown pitched three innings for her first win as well as adding two hits and scoring three runs. Willoughby contributed with two singles.
