GORHAM, N.H. – State police chased a Maine man for five miles through the White Mountains on Friday morning, before arresting him near Pinkham Notch.

Daniel Nauh, 20, of Livermore Falls was wanted in Maine and New York on burglary, assault and criminal contempt charges.

Police found him when they responded to a reported road rage incident on Route 16 just after midnight. Police said that when they arrived, Nauh drove away, then stopped and ran into the woods. They chased him on both sides of the highway and partway up Imp Mountain.

Officers eventually used dogs to track Nauh to Camp Dodge, a closed summer camp, where they found him hiding under a bed.

Besides the New York and Maine charges, police said they would charge Nauh with possession of a controlled substance, disobeying a police officer, resisting arrest and criminal trespass.
