The Maine Patent Program will present a seminar on “How to Patent Your Invention” from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the studio of the Community Television Network, 100 Oak St., Suite 2, in Portland. This seminar is appropriate for all inventors, scientists and companies with innovative technologies. The session is being taped to air on the local cable channel.
The seminar will be lead by Willis “Woody” Higgins, director of the Maine Patent Program. Higgins is a registered patent attorney with over 35 years of experience helping inventors, entrepreneurs and businesses secure U.S. and international patent protection for their inventions. The seminar will address what types of inventions are subject to patent protection, the practical steps to obtaining a patent, and how patents can be used for gaining a competitive business advantage.
