I find it amazing that the people who gave Bill Clinton every benefit of the doubt for eight years, in spite of overwhelming evidence of wrongdoing and even criminality, are now questioning the character of President Bush and conjuring up all sorts of scandals where none exist. These are the same people that told us that character didn’t matter. I guess it only matters when there’s a Republican in the White House.

Now they tell us with a straight face that our military has “murdered” thousands of Afghan civilians, that Afghanistan is another Vietnam and that George W. Bush, like Dr. Strangelove, is chomping at the bit to nuke someone. Where do they come up with this stuff? And it doesn’t seem to matter to the liberals that the terrorist attacks killed 3,000 Americans.

These people continue to delude themselves about the true nature of the terrorist threat and they seem to be more than willing to think the most cynical thoughts imaginable about the president and our military, without any compelling reason to do so.

Where were all these liberal moralizers when Clinton was launching cruise missiles at Third World countries every time a convenient diversion was needed during his court testimony?
