Fisheries service awards $75,000 to Cherryfield

CHERRYFIELD – The National Marine Fisheries Service has awarded about $75,000 to the town of Cherryfield.

The funding will help community officials build a structure to house salt and sand and to relocate a salt-sand pile from its location near the Narraguagus River.

It will be built on a site adjacent to the town office.
