Alan Picard

Alan Picard of the University of Maine baseball team has been selected as the America East player of the week. Picard batted .533 hitting a two-out two-run home run in the fourth inning for a 6-4 win in the first game of a doubleheader and a two-out solo homer in the second game for a 3-2 win.

Aaron Izaryk

Aaron Izaryk, a freshman at Maine has been named the America East rookie of the week. Izaryk batted .444 in three games against Northeastern.

Jenna Merchant

Jenna Merchant, a pitcher for the University of Maine softball team has been chosen as the America East rookie of the week. Merchant was 3-0 for the week allowing only six hits in 16.2 innings of work, striking out 11 and walking none.
