Reuter leads Eagles past Trojans

MOUNT DESERT – Hans Reuter went 3-for-4 with a double, two singles, and an RBI as the George Stevens Academy Eagles of Blue Hill prevailed 7-3 over Mount Desert Island in high school baseball action Thursday.

Chris Sargent also went 3 for 4, with a pair driven in for the winners.

Travis Tripp and Bodie Abbott each hit two singles for the Trojans. Kyle Jones knocked an RBI double, and John Dow contributed a sacrifice fly.

At East Sullivan, Matt Malone blasted a 3-run homer to go with a double, a single, and five total RBIs as the Lynx of Lincoln rolled.

Fred Pete ripped two doubles, a single, and knocked in three for Mattanawcook. Tyler Gardner contributed four singles and four RBIs.

Trevor Renwick rapped a two-run double for the Tigers. Justin Winlsow added an RBI single.

At Rockland, Parker Tootill struck out nine in five innings and aided his own cause with a triple, a single and two RBIs as the Tigers beat the Mustangs.

Rick Bagnall singled twice for Rockland, Brian Toothaker knocked in two runs with a double, Wade Oliver tripled and Adam Ross added a double.

Kenton Spaulding had two singles and two RBIs for Mount View of Thorndike and Johnny Ingraham singled twice.

Belfast 11, Camden Hills 1

At Camden, Morgan Crandall tossed a three-hitter, striking out 12, walking one, surrendering just one run, and at one point retired 12 batters in a row as the Lions roared to victory.

Crandall was solid at the plate as well, cracking three hits, including a double, and knocked in three runs for Belfast. Sam Ellis and Kate Ross ripped a single and a double. Melissa Brown had three singles.

Miranda Kelly rapped an RBI single for the Windjammers. Hillary Peaslee and Carmen Forzetting added a single each.

At East Sullivan, Jaide Littlefield belted two doubles, a triple, and knocked in two runs as the Lynx cruised.

Shannon Peitras ripped five singles for Mattanawcook of Lincoln. Kasse Brown added a single and a triple. Kristi McKinnon hit two singles and drove in a run.

Dannie Crowley rapped a triple and had three RBIs for the Tigers. Monica Stanley and Jordan Reed each had two singles.
