Brewer beats Bucks on Cote hit Pitchers power Witches to win

BUCKSPORT – Chris Cote ripped an RBI double in the sixth inning to give Brewer a 4-3 baseball victory over the host Golden Bucks Saturday.

Joel Barrett had a single to go with a sacrifice fly for Brewer and Matt Sargent contributed with an RBI single. Chad Gomm and Barrett combined on a four-hitter.

Abram Allard sparked Bucksport with a double, single, and an RBI.

At Husson College in Bangor, Andy Treadwell went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as the Rams prevailed.

Kyle Baker ripped two singles and knocked in a run for Bangor. Nick LaRochelle had three singles to go with an RBI.

Zach Means belted a solo homer for the Crusaders and Andy Tremble singled.

At Bangor, Tom Nason had three hits, two doubles and a single, to go with three RBIs as the Lakers sailed.

Griz Aucoin ripped three singles and knocked in four runs for Greenville. Tyler Muzzy had two singles and two RBIs.

Matt Turgeon sparked the Patriots with a double, two singles and two RBIs. Ben Sobey rapped two singles and two RBIs.

At East Corinth, Chris Parker ripped a double, a single, and knocked in a pair as the Red Devils held off Stearns.

Tristan Strout, Rob Girvan and Jason Allen each rapped a pair of singles and drove at least one run in for Central. Strout and Girvan drove in two and Allen had one.

Matt Barnett notched a pair of RBI singles for the Minutemen of Millinocket. Matt Leino had an RBI double and Dave Michaud had two singles to go with an RBI.

At Hampden, Tim Hilton belted a homer, a single, and drove in three runs as the Red Riots edged the Broncos.

Pat Skall also homered for the winners to go with a double and two RBIs.

Eric Libby sparked Hampden with a single, double, and two RBIs. Kevin Brooks had two singles and Casey Bearor launched a single and a double.

At Old Town, Brian Tewhey drove in four runs on two doubles and a single as the Indians rolled over the Eagles.

Roger Cole added three RBIs on a double and two singles. Chris Rand earned the pitching win with two hits and seven strikeouts in five innings of work.

Chad Smith tallied a double and a single for Ellsworth.

At Bucksport, Sherri Capponi surrendered no runs and only allowed five singles as the Witches blanked the Golden Bucks.

Katie Freeman launched an RBI double for Brewer and Carolyn McAvoy added an RBI single. Sandra DeFillip also singled.

Tara Tweedie collected two singles for Bucksport.

At Husson College in Bangor, Jen Jimmo limited the Crusaders to one double, striking out nine as the Rams rolled.

Rachael Dube had two singles and three RBIs for Bangor. Shelby Soohey ripped a two-run double, and Jen Wright singled twice.

Meghan Brown doubled for John Bapst.

At Hampden, Katie Lindemann was strong at the plate and in the circle, with a triple and single, and gave up only two hits, both singles, and struck out six as the Broncos galloped to the win.

Kelly Badger had two singles and knocked in three runs for Hampden. Danielle Billings ripped two singles, and Jessie Alyward added an RBI single.

Sarah Scott and Joelle Clingerman each singled for the Red Riots.
