CORINTH – Sarah Carnes’ RBI double in the sixth inning provided the winning run as the Dexter Tigers nipped the Red Devils 7-6 in high school softball action.
Cindy Koscielny powered Dexter with a 5-for-5 effort, including a triple and a double and one RBI. Ashley Foster hit three singles, while Karen Nelson, Kristy Veazie, and Brittany Veazie each singled twice.
Central tried to mount a comeback in the bottom of the seventh when Jessica Kaelin hit a two-run double. Nicole Labbe added three singles and Shawna Bell hit two.

Fort Fairfield’s Maranda Butler hit two triples and drove in two runs. Ashlee Bubar struck out four and gave up two hits in four innings of work. The Tigers took advantage of 13 walks issued by the Pioneer pitchers.
