Wow! I certainly hope to hear more from Joshua Keefe after reading his “Saving the world with Goodwill Industries” (BDN op-ed, April 23). This young man has much to say, and I hope people are listening. Teachers would do well to have their students read and discuss his well-written opinion.
He didn’t miss a thing. Even the kids who only care about superficial things (sorry, but that’s true) should find his line about the 50-year-old millionaires telling kids what to wear especially thought-provoking. Parents would do well to read this column, discuss it with their kids and do some heavy thinking about it, too. Every one of us has the power to change the world through our actions. Sometimes it’s as simple as what we choose to wear.
