Gov. King vetoed a bill for more insurance coverage of mental illnesses. Should they have the same coverage as physical illnesses?

Absolutely. It’s an important thing. For every person that gets hurt, there’s a person that needs mental help.

Rachyl Coakley, Brewer

It shouldn’t be the same, it should be more because mental health problems can be a lot worse off than any physical injury.

Jaime Critchley, Old Orchard Beach

Actually it should probably be more because mental illnesses are harder to deal with sometimes.

Paul Lawrence, Fairfield

For the honest person that really has a problem, they should get the full coverage.

Mary Ann Pinkerton, Bangor

There should be more coverage for people with mental health issues.

Richard Ward, Bangor

I feel that yes, it should be. There’s not enough services for mentally ill.

Judy Blackburn, Glenburn

Absolutely. The head and the body go together. You can’t treat one without treating the other.

Terry Kelley, Bangor

I would say it should be at least equal to.

Dirk Erlandsen, Bar Harbor
