ELLSWORTH – Promising Maine writers of short stories, novellas, plays or novels seeking to further hone their fiction writing skills are encouraged to apply for a Martin Dibner Fellowship through the Maine Community Foundation. One or two grants of between $500 and $1,000 will be awarded.

Applications are due at the Foundation no later May 15 and should include a one-sentence objective, a one-page summary of the project, including its relevance to writing; and a budget for the project. If requesting aid for living expenses while writing, please include a monthly budget. Include any other fellowships or scholarships received for your project. Also send a resume; a writing sample (5-7 pages single-sided and typed); and a separate page listing your name, address, phone, e-mail address and the title of your submission.
