PHILADELPHIA – Viktoriya Rybalko won the Eastern College long jump and was fourth in the Eastern triple jump to highlight the finishes by University of Maine athletes at the prestigious Penn Relays.
Rybalko won the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 1/4 inch on Friday. She went 39-13/4 in the triple jump. Rybalko was eighth in the triple jump at the Mt. San Antonio College relays a week ago, setting a school record of 40-5.
The men’s and women’s 800-meter relay teams established school records of 1:29.19 and 1:44.95, respectively, at the Penn Relays. The men’s distance medley team set a school mark of 9:59.91 and was first in its 17-team section.
