Erin Lovely

Junior third baseman Erin Lovely of Thomas College of Waterville was named the Maine Athletic Conference softball Player of the Week. A graduate of Oxford Hills High, she had nine hits in 15 at-bats, including two doubles, a triple, and three RBIs, and scored six runs.

Jessica Wenckus

Jessica Wenckus, a freshman from UMaine-Farmington, was named the Maine Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. Wenckus, an alumnus of Gardiner High School, registered wins 8 and 9, lowering her ERA to 1.36.

Derek McIntosh

St. Joseph’s College freshman catcher Derek McIntosh received Maine Athletic Conference baseball Player of the Week honors. He cracked 9 hits in 23 at-bats, including a pair of homers and stolen bases, and 10 RBIs.

Greg Kimball

Greg Kimball, a freshman from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, was named the Maine Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. He recorded a record of 2-0 with an ERA of 0.64. He surrendered just one earned run and struck out 10 in 14 innings.

Jenna Merchant

Freshman pitcher Jenna Merchant of UMaine was named the America East Pitcher of the Week. She posted two wins for the Black Bears in two starts last week. She allowed only one earned run in a 7-5 triumph of Boston University, and spun a two-hitter as the Bears blanked Stony Brook 1-0.
